We are seeking a dependable and caring Cook to join our childcare center team at Lil' People's Place. This role plays a key part in supporting children’s health and development by providing nutritious, well-balanced meals each day.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children.
- Follow state licensing requirements and nutrition guidelines.
- Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Complete food safety, temperature, and cleaning logs.
- Order food and manage kitchen inventory.
- Communicate with staff to ensure meals are served on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (childcare or institutional experience a plus).
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Enjoys working in a child-centered environment.
